The Instructors and Training Officers at SMLSC, under the direction of the Training and Development Manager, conduct training for life saving awards. These courses being
  • Surf Rescue Certificate (for members 13+)
  • Bronze Medallion (for members 15+);
  • Level Two First Aid
  • Advanced Resuscitation Techniques
  •  Inflatable Rescue Boat - Driver and Crew

Holders of these awards must undergo a proficiency test every 12 months.
