The Nipper
program is available to all members aged 5 to 13 years. The program
is based on the national SLSA Surf Ed program which is designed to
develop open water skills in a safe environment and encourage
confidence, teamwork and friendship.

Parental Involvement
Parental Involvement: All parents are encouraged to take advantage of the
Family Membership and become members of the Club.
Membership is a requirement for any parents who would like
to help out in any way with the Nipper program.
Working with Children Checks: All members who are in any way involved with members
under the age of 18 are required to complete a Working With
Children Check. These are free of charge for members and
are organised through our governing body – Life Saving
Victoria.
Assisting in Nipper Program: The Nipper coaches and Age Managers appreciate parental
assistance during the sessions and at Nipper Carnivals.
Active Involvement: Parents who wish
to be more actively involved in life saving activities have
a range of awards to choose from.
Fundraising: Assistance is appreciated with ongoing support for our
Nipper Program through fundraising and social activities
Training & Teams
Parents are informed of Nipper Training dates and times.
The Nipper Team is headed by the Nipper Coordinator, John Sheridan. John is assisted by the Junior Activities Committee Representative and the Nipper Coaching team. For further information, please contact us.
