South Melbourne Life Saving Club

The Instructors and Training Officers at SMLSC, under the direction of the Chief Instructor, conduct training for life saving awards.

The Bronze Medallion (for members 15+); or Surf Rescue Certificate (for members 13+) are the minimum qualifications required for a volunteer surf life saver.

Holders of these awards must undergo a proficiency test every 12 months.
